Business split up in to 2 separate entities, should they still be selling the same products from one factory ?

Our company recently split up ( around 2 years ago due to division of assets through the will of our grandfather ) and we're in the business or marketing Auto parts for for cars/trucks. We get some of our products from one factory and we brand it under one name. Company A (bigger company) would want to control the brand since we have developed it but Company B would want to sell it as well.

Would it be possible to form a strategic alliance with COmpany B ?Business split up in to 2 separate entities, should they still be selling the same products from one factory ?
Yes, while working in Mexico I discovered a sewing factory that had Columbia Sportswear being sewn less than an arm's length from Patagonia Sportswear. They are major competitors, but share space on the same sewing floor. If you can pull that off, you can do anything.
