I've been dancing for 9 years now and can do the left and right splits. Ever since i started I've been getting lower and lower on the middles but I've never gone fully down. What stretches should i practice to get it? ThanksHow do you do the middle splits?
I used to sit up against a wall and inch closer and closer - also do what I call butterflies...
Warm up - really well....
Start sitting legs out in front straight legs together...
Open your legs as far as you can to side splits and lay on your tummy and slide over the top of your splits until your legs are at the back and you are lying on your front - then reverse.
Sit/Lie in Side splits ALL the time and stretching forwards... watching TV, doing your homework, always have your legs stuck in 2nd... it will come...How do you do the middle splits?
Hi! I'm in Chinese dance and needless to say...we do ALOT of stretching n stuff. Seems like your doing the right thing just attempt it like how you would if you could really do a middle split. Hold yourself (hands on floor) when you can't go no more and when you are quite low to the ground place your elbows (along with your lower arms, i have no idea what their called) and hold.
Or you can get someone to gently push you down. It hurts and be careful. :)
warm up properly, then go down, when y've reached ur limit hold for 10-20 seconds, do this everyday n u'll c improvemants..all da best
