Will a split over the war in Iraq keep Republicans out of office?

Some Republicans are still for the war in Iraq, and then you have people like Ron Paul who is running as someone who was always against it. What are your feelings on the Republican's chance to get in office for 2008?Will a split over the war in Iraq keep Republicans out of office?
there will be a different direction in iraq no matter what party or candidate is elected.

Possibly. I'm more worried about Guiliani's abortion stance causing a split.





It may also be that Clinton's war stance will cause a split on the Democratic side.
I would hope that Republicans would have a good chance. Heaven help us if Hitlery gets in office.
It is my opinion that this will in fact be the case. I believe that America does not have the resolve to finish the war. You can watch the Democrats and Republicans abandoning ship as we speak. The only one that seems to be committed to this is the President. With both parties bolting and seperating from the war ultimately Bush and the Republican party will be seen as the scape goats. People will shy away from the Republican party as a whole.
No matter what happens, their will always be some republicans in office somewhere even if we never again see another Republican president, they will always be some as governors, representatives, in Congress, but realistically there will be a democrat who will do something on a different level to piss of the American people and well eventually see another Republican president, there will always be Republicans and democrats, always.
With 70% of voters opposed to the war, I'd say that Republicans have little chance to win the general election UNLESS they nominate Ron Paul. With Ron Paul as nominee, they will still have a difficult battle, but at least it might be possible.
They can`t lose ! What have the Democrats to offer Americans ? Hitlary or Osama ?





Either one of them would drag the USA down to 3rd world status in their 1st month in office !
