Which Band splitting up really bothered you ?

~Cream

Blind Faith

Traffic

Led Zepplin

The Yardbirds

but fortunately, they all got other gigs.

On second thought, had the Yardbirds not split up, Zepplin and Cream and the Jeff Beck Group would never have happened so I guess they don't count. And without Stevie and Jeff leaving Traffic and Ginger and Eric curdling Cream, we'd have lost out Blind Faith. It was a bummer when Buffalo Springfield split up, too, but look at all the music we'd have missed out on if Neil and Steve weren't such azzholes and couldn't play together for more than a gig or two (and luckily the Byrds were fed up with Dave Crosby and the Hollies fired Graham Nash, so Stevo had somebody else to play with - and Danny Whitten wasn't dead yet so Neil found somebody who could out-play and out-ego him but who didn't give a damn because he was too stoned to notice [that horse was crazy, man]). The worst break-up had to be when all of Pete Stampfel's and Steve Webers buddies got just toooooooo high to hit the stage and the Holy Modal Rounders packed it in.

They don't count as break-ups, but when Jim and Jimmy and Janis each popped their last balloons (as they were climbing walls while sitting in a chair (or on a toilet)) the music died with far more finality than when Buddy's plane drilled.Which Band splitting up really bothered you ?

Which Band splitting up really bothered you ?
The Smiths and The Jam, the two best bands ever in my opinion, all members are alive and well but there's no chance of a reunion for either.

EDIT Why would no one know Adam And The Ants? (not spelt with a ';z'; by the way, you can't have liked them that much).
Van Halen...Diamond Dave still rocks!!!!!!

I think a good question would be which band bothers you because they won't split up?
Boo is the band we miss the most! Their gigs were awesome!

Chris Chameleon isn't quite the same!

We miss the sound of Umpi Omo and Chris Chamelion.

Why did they break up? O my wishbone.

Musical Youth.

What a great band. R.I.P
NKOTB and of course - NSYNC!!!

Haha...

Oh, and it was sad when Kurt Cobain killed himself... :(
Well, I was sad to leave the University of Akron marching band. Good parties years ago...

EDIT: Genesis was a shell after Peter Garbiel and Steve Hackett left. Yes was nothing after Rick Wakeman.
When Matt Sharp left Weezer, it in many ways ruined the band. I always thought they were going to be the next beatles.
Guns N' Roses for sure.

System of A Down

The Beatles even though I wasn't alive then, I wish they were still together.

Led Zeppelin

And Rage Against the Machine (But they're back together! Yay!)
Well these are more groups than bands but I choose:

En Vogue

SWV

After 7

Xscape

Jodeci

Silk

Mint Condition

Jade
KoRn (When Head left %26amp; hopefully David comes back)
It pissed me off when the bassist of metallica left the band. now they sound like ****.

either New Kids On the Block or Backstreet boys, i'm talking back in the day when they first were around. now that there back together i don't care anymore.
Nirvana
The Smiths

The Sundays

The Cocteau Twins

Lloyd Cole
New Edition
rage against the machine and system of a down. the thing i dont miss though are their extreme liberal views.
Blink 182 bothered me the most.

Oh and how could I forget Rage Against the Machine
Elastic bands.
The Police--but I saw them on their reunion tour and they STILL rock!!
WAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH, THE BEATLES, :'(
