depends,if we're talking about a swimming pool chlorinator sometimes it can happen that way if its old. but it doesnt happen very often. most of the time that would happen is if something got mixed into the chlorinator, other chemicals for ex. doesnt mean its the tenants fault i dont know who all uses the pool but anyone could have put something in the pool and caused it to happen. and im not sayin it was or wasnt anyones fault this is just my opinion. hope it helps

A chlorinator at my rental got a 3/4 inch hole and split, what could cause this?
